Scaled up models

We were brought a couple of models that a customer had found online and asked us to print them, however instead of the original size of the model which was 6cm they wanted them scaled up to a much larger size to use them as garden ornaments. After discussing what the final size would be it was a case of cutting the scaled up model into pieces that would fit onto the printers to be re-assembled afterwards.

The first model was nice and simple with 1 cut and 2 prints when assembled it stood 43cm tall and 25cm wide. it took a total of 1 day and 2 hours combined print time.

The second model was not as simple it had to be cut into 8 pieces and done in 6 prints, it took a total of 1day and 16 hours of combined print time. When assembled it stood 40cm high and 27cm wide.

The entire project took 5 days to complete with printing spread over 4 days and a day of post processing and assembling.
