Dualit 1979 Toaster Knob

A customer asked if we could recreate the control knob for a much-loved 1979 Dualit toaster. Replacement elements and spring mechanisms were still available, but the original knob was nowhere to be found – even Dualit no longer supplied it.

After a couple of hours carefully measuring the fitting and modelling the part in CAD, we produced a prototype to test the fit and check that the chrome insert sat correctly. A small adjustment was made to tighten how it attached to the toaster, and then we printed the final version. For a finishing touch, we hand-painted the arrow detail in white to match the original look.
