This project was for a customer with a serious passion for cassette tape players and recorders. They asked us to recreate a missing tape lid for their Philips tape recorder in clear PETG.

We explained that the part wouldn’t be perfectly clear and would show some layer lines, and the customer was happy to go ahead. Using measurements taken from the original parts, we modelled the new lid in CAD and produced a test print in orange PLA to check the fit and movement.

Once everything lined up correctly, we printed the final version in clear PETG. The customer was extremely happy with how closely it matched the look and function of the original.
